COSTUME RENTAL TERMS

1. BILLING TERMS

Costumes rented to Educational Institutions and other organizations are reserved via PURCHASE ORDER or by letter of authorization from Principal, Treasurer, etc. We must have a copy of actual purchase order and correct billing address for all orders to be processed. The only exception to this rule is; Costumes for “High School Musical”. Due to high demand a certified 50% deposit of the total invoice is required for all H.S.M. rentals. Reservations are not considered booked until this deposit has been received and all funds have been made available. For all other rentals, 35% payment of total invoice is required when ordering. A $15 per costume restocking charge for ALL costumes NOT USED but returned before opening night. Full charges apply for all unused costumes NOT returned before opening night to Atlantic Coast Theatrical Supply Inc. and will be considered rented for full term. All costume reservations are on a first come first serve basis. Used or stage worn costumes must not be mixed with unused costumes. If costumes are received in this manner the entire set will be considered used and full charges will apply.

2. RUSH ORDERS

All orders received 7 (seven) business days or less before the opening of your show will be charged 20% higher per costume. Renter is responsible for all shipping charges.

3. PICK UP OR ARRIVAL

Costumes will be made available for pick-up or will arrive the Monday before or three days prior to Opening Performance. Costumes may arrive Friday before your performance by special request only at a higher cost. Atlantic Coast Theatrical Supply Inc. is not responsible once products leave our facility. ACTS is not responsible for bad weather, strikes, shipper mishandling, receiver inaccessibility, cancellation, receiver refusal or addressing and communication errors.

4. SHIPPING OR DELIVERY

With the rental of $4000.00 or more, costumes will be delivered or shipped at a discounted charge based on quantity and weight at out discretion. Rental costs under $4000.00 will be shipped via U.P.S. and full shipping charges will be paid by the renter.

5. RETURNS

Costumes must be returned the same way they were received IE: on the same hangers received and with the proper identification tags. Costumes not returned properly will be charged 25% of stated rental price. Costumes will be returned, shipped or will be picked up the Monday, or the next day following your final performance. ALL costumes will be shipped back to A.C.T.S. Inc. via UPS 2-day shipping. Return shipping to be paid by renter in advance.

7. AVAILABILITY

Costume styles, colors, and quantity are bases on current inventory and availability. Unique and specialty pieces may not be available in all sizes. ACTS reserves the right to substitute any and all products when pulling orders.

6. PROGRAM CREDIT

When Atlantic Coast Theatrical Supply supplies costumes for the entire production or those for Leading Roles, Credit would be appreciated - “Atlantic Coast Theatrical Supply”. Please send one of your programs with the return for verification if possible. Thanks

7. MEASUREMENTS

Please measure accurately. Please follow measurement form instructions properly. We go by the exact sizes entered into the size charts. Measurements must be done by a qualified adult. You will be charged for any costumes sent that YOU measured incorrectly.

8. LARGER SIZES

A size over 48 chest, waist & hips (male) or 44 bust, waist & hips (female) is $5 extra per costume.

9. DAMAGES, ADDED ALTERATIONS, LOSSES

A breakdown of costumes supplied by Atlantic Coast Theatrical Inc. will be furnished to the Director or Department Head as the case may be. DAMAGE and LOSS: Damages such as cigarette burns, stage grease, blood, paint, excessive rips and tears. EXCESSIVE MAKE-UP that render the costume unusable will be charged to the renter, Current market replacement value will be assessed. PLEASE Powder all make-up before wearing costume. Excessive make-up will be charged 10% of costume rental price. Any Damages to the costumes due to Choreography or movement, such as knee burns, tears, or holes will result in full purchase of the costume: i.e. knee burns to the pants of a suit, requires purchase of the entire suit. ANY ALTERATIONS on costumes are to be made by HAND-STITCH or safety pins ONLY! By no means is material to be cut. Please ask for proper approval before altering. We will be glad to assist you in this area.
